Nearly 30% of Clare farmers who take part in the Reps 4 scheme are still awaiting their 2009 payments
Of the 1311 Clare farmers taking part in the scheme, 376 have yet to receive the vital payments three weeks into the New Year.
Fine Gael North Clare Councillor Martin Conway has highlighted the major backlog in payments to farmers, and has called on the Minister for Agriculture Brendan Smith to address the situation.

Councillor Conway says farmers are in dire need of the payments.
