A Clareman has been remanded in custody after being found guilty of raping his pregnant ex-girlfriend at gunpoint at her County Clare home over two years ago.
The 44-year-old man, originally from England had pleaded not guilty to 11 charges at the Central Criminal Court in Dublin but had pleaded guilty to assaulting the woman at her Clare home on September 9, 2007.
