20% drop in house prices in Clare in past 12 months.

Property prices in Clare have dropped by almost 20 % in the space of a year according a new survey in todays Sunday times.

The Newspapers investigation also reveals that a brand new house in the couty costs on average 175K while a previously owned home costs on average 5 thousand euro less.

Estate agents in Clare reported a total reduction in house prices from 2007 at 45% with a lack of consumer confidence being the key factor in the drop in the price of homes.
