A motorist had a lucky escape this morning after his car collided with a deer on a section of the Ennis-Limerick motorway between Clarecastle and Dromoland.
The incident happened near The Clare Inn shortly before 7:00 this morning.
The car was blocking the fast lane of the south-bound carriageway for a spell but was later cleared.
