Friends and supporters of Clare’s new Senior Minister will gather at the county boarder this evening to welcome home Tony Killeen.
The 57 year old Kilnaboy native secured the Defence Portfolio in the Taoiseach’s reshuffle on Tuesday but has promised to raise as many Clare issues as possible at Cabinet level.
He’s already written to a number of agencies in the Mid West indicating that he would be happy to meet with them to hear the issues they feel are central to the region’s recovery.

Minister Killeen will arrive at the Two Mile Inn on the Clare Limerick Border at 6.30 this evening and a public reception will be held for him at the West County Hotel in Ennis at 8.30
