Dooradoyle visitor restrictions lifted

 

Long-standing visitor restrictions at Limerick Regional Hospital due to the Winter Vomiting Bug are set to be lifted this week.

From this morning the main entrance will reopen to the public with visiting of patients permitted between 2-4 and again 6.30 till 8.30.

Only 2 people will be allowed on the wards at any time, children under 14 will not permitted into the hospital and children over 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Visiting to the ICU is restricted to family while only parents or guardians will be allowed into paediatrics outside normal visiting hours.

The HSE is also urging anyone who is feeling unwell in the past 72 hours is asked not to visit the hospital.
