Seasonal beach bye laws come into effect at coastal spots across County Clare today.
And for the first time dog and horse owners in Kilkee will have to refrain from taking their animals to the local beach between the hours of 11 and 6.
It’s just one of the rules outlined in the bye laws that will be in effect for the months of June, July and August.

Among others is the mandatory clean up and control of pets.
Kilkee Town Councillor, Claire Haugh says it’s a welcome move.
