Dáil Eireann has heard clarifications regarding the recent mix-up over a site for Breastcheck in Clare which lead to further delays in the establishment of the service in Ennis.
Junior Health Minister Aíne Brady offered a personal explanation to the Dáil last evening regarding an incorrect statement she delivered last month which laid the blame for delays in the breastcheck service with Clare County Council.
The National Cancer Screening service has already apologised to the Department of Health and Clare County Council for the incorrect information and Minister Brady has now rectified the issue assuring the Dáil that breastcheck will be provided to the women of Clare from the autumn.
