The possible selection of Clare Labour candidates for the next general election will be one of the issues up for discussion during Eamon Gilmore’s visit to the county today.
The Labour Leader is on a whistle-stop tour and included on his itinerary is talks with the Chairperson of the Shannon Airport Authority, Shannon Airport workers as well as a tour of the Intel plant.
Ahead of that Deputy Gilmore will also meet with business and community leaders in Ennis before taking a walkabout of the town centre and will joined by local representatives Tony McMahon, Pascal Fitzgerald , Greg Duff and Paul O Shea.
There’s been much speculation recently about a prominent Clare GAA figure set to joins the Labour ranks however Clr Pascal Fitzgerald says that’s all it is, at the moment
