Five Clare schools have been granted funding for upgrade works.
The Department of Education has announced that’s providing funds for heating system works at Ennis National School and disabled access works at St. Joseph’s National School, Milltown Malbay.
Grant aid has also been approved for toilet facilities at Clonmoney National School, andd for fencing alterations to be undertaken at Barefield National School and St. Joseph’s Secondary School in Tulla.
The news has been welcomed by Clare TD and Minister for Defence Tony Killeen.
He says this announcement, along with the Summer works scheme which will benefit 55 schools in the county, shows that the Government remains committed to delivering improvements to Clare schools despite financial constraints
