The Minister for Enterprise has indicated that the future of Shannon Development is secure amid calls for its to be scrapped.
Speaking last month the the Chair of Mid West Taskforce Denis Brosnan stated that there was too much overlap between the five semi state organisations operating in the region.
Mr Brosnan who’s also heading up the committee looking at the boundary issue called for the abolition of Shannon Development and The Shannon Airport Authority and a single authority set up in their place.
