A comprehensive programme of flood alleviation works for Ennis to prevent a repeat of last Novembers serious flooding has been announced.
Sections of the Watery Road in Clare’s County Town are set to be tackled under the plan along with the recently commenced 250 thousand Euro Aughanteeroe Flood Alleviation Scheme on the Gort Road.
Two other schemes at Saint Flannans and Ballybeg have also been given the green light with approval for the appointment of consultants to facilitate the planning, design and subsequent stages of the project
