Clare County Council says its unclear at this stage when a boil notice in effect in Ballyvaughan will be lifted.
The notice concerns consumers on the public supply, including the following Group Water Schemes: Muckinish, Gleninagh, Gregans, Knocknagrough and Newtown
Those affected are advised to continuously boil all water intended for consumption or food preparation for at least five minutes before use

Hugh McGrath is the Senior Executive Engineer with the Council’s Water Services Division
He says while the notice has been downgraded it’s not yet clear when they can give the all clear
