Plans to try and ensure the future viability of Shannon Airport are finally set to be unveiled today.
The Head of the Shannon Airport Authority Brian O O’Connell is set to outline the SAA strategy for the Mid West Airport up to 2015 at a press conference in Dromoland this morning.
It comes ahead of a meeting this afternoon with all of the stakeholders in the tourism industry , along with local representatives and other interested bodies to discuss plans for Shannon going forward.
Earlier this month Shannon representatives hit out at the SAA of treating them with contempt and snubbed their call for the formulation of a viable business plan.
Local councillor Patricia McCarthy hopes something concrete will finally come out of today’s announcement
