New Shannon to Gatwick Service announced

Aer Lingus is to establish a new daily flight service between Shannon and Gatwick airports.

The service will originate in London, and will fly passengers to the MidWest airport seven mornings a week, while a return service will operate from Shannon shortly afterwards.

Shannon Airport Director Mary Considine has described the announcement as a good start to 2011 and says the new Gatwick service is particularly significant for those wishing to do business in County Clare and the mid-west.

The service will originate in Gatwick with a 6.50 a.m. departure and will be the earliest daily London service to Shannon, arriving at 8.15 am. The return-leg from Shannon departs at 9 a.m., arriving in Gatwick at 10.25. Bookings for the flight can be made from today on the Aer Lingus website www.aerlingus.com.
