Finsa Forest Products is seeking voluntary redundancies among its staff of 86 in what’s seen as a major blow to the East Clare Economy.

The chip-board and timber products manufacturing company is a significant employer in the East Clare area but has announced a restructuring process due to a decline in demand from its clients in the building trade.
A spokesperson for Finsa in Scarriff has confirmed to Clare FM that around 50 redundancies are being sought but wouldn’t comment further on the matter.
