Iarnrod Eireann is proposing a number of changes to its current train timetables right across the country including a possible new 6.30 Galway to Ennis evening service and the company want local commuters think of the new plans.

It’s part of a new public consultation initiative where the public are invited to log on to irishrail.ie to view proposed timetable changes and make their views or transport needs known to the company.

Barry Kenny of Iarnrod Eireann says the Western Rail Corridors first phase is doing reasonably well since it opened last March and the company hopes to be in a position to increase services there
