Defence Minister and Clare TD Tony Killeen will be among the thousands visiting the the BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition today, as it opens to the public this morning.

Over 35 thousand people are expected to visit the event in the coming days
Among the Clare schools taking part are Mary Immaculate Secondary School in Lisdoonvarna, Coláiste Muire and Rice College in Ennis, Meanscoil na mBraithre in Ennistymon, Kilrush Community School and St Patrick’s Comprehensive in Shannon.
Among their ideas are projects surrounding attitudes towards autism, the effects of using a mobile phone on reactions and how music effects the heart
