Fianna Fail delegates from across the county will gather in Ennis this afternoon to select the party’s candidates for the upcoming General Election.
It’s expected that Dr John Hillery, son of former President and Spanish Point native Patrick Hillary will join Timmy Dooley on the Fianna Fail ticket to contest two seats in Clare.
Dr Hillery’s possible candidacy was endorsed by the National Executive as it came after the close of nominations and thus prevented delegates from choosing a sucessor to Tony Killeen
