Flight numbers through Shannon Airport are expected to be boosted today.

Aer Lingus and Aer Arann are holding a joint press conference at the Mid West Airport later this morning where its expected they will announce an expansion of their regional service from the airport.
They currently operate four routes from the Mid West to Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow as part of a franchise agreement between the two airlines.
The positive development has been welcomed by local Fine Gael representative Sean McLoughlin
