Hopes that consultation process won’t slow down new Doolin Pier project

It’s hoped that an ongoing public consultation process for the development at Doolin Pier won’t significantly delay the valuable project.

The six million euro facility has come under fire from the surfing community in the North Clare area – they claim it will impact on the world famous waves in the locality, as well as posing a health and safety danger.

Clare County Council have entered into a second period of public consultation, not required by law, in a bid to receive further feedback from the local community – the project is set to be discussed by Councillors in March.
