Clare voters concerned their local polling station isn’t accessible for them due to physical illness or disability are being reassured that they will be able to cast their ballot.
13 stations across the county don’t have suitable ramp or other disabled access but The County’s Returning Officer says affected local voters will be accommodated at another polling station.
The stations that haven’t full disabled access are the primary schools in Baltard, Boston, Burrane, Caherea, Cloonanaha, Clooneygolane, Clouna, Connolly, Cooraclare, Moy, Scarriff and Saint Connaire’s in Shannon along with Ballinruan Community Hall.
However Patrick Wallace- Returning Officer for County Clare says voters registered in these areas who have mobility issues will be facilitated
And the number for those affected is 065 6821041
