Nurses at Ennis General are calling on Clare’s government TDs to deliver on their promise of a full review of reconfiguration of hospital services in the Mid-West.
Clare’s Fine Gael and Labour representatives have insisted they’ll follow though on election policies including plans to stall the transfer of services from Ennis General to Limerick and were due to raise the issue with the new health minister.
But with overcrowding problems continuing in both Ennis and Limerick, members of the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation have been led to believe that reconfiguration process will continue, and so far they’re waiting to hear from new health Minister – James Reilly.
