Locals in Doonbeg and further afield are being urged to join in a major clean up of Doughmore Beach tomorrow.
To mark World Earth Day, 6 pupils from Colaiste Mhuire in Ennis are leading the charge to make the West Clare beauty spot litter free.
They have organised a treasure trail for younger family members who attend tomorrow’s clean up while all participants will receive a voucher to go towards a meal at the nearby Doonbeg Golf Club.

The girls initially started the clean up last year when hundreds of butter cartons washed ashore from containers at sea and hope others will join them tomorrow
And the clean up will take place between 2 and 4 tomorrow on the Golf Club side of the beach.
