A leading suicide prevention group is urging Clare residents in need of their services to contact them, as it records an increase in the demand for their services during the recession.
Pieta House has five bases in Ireland, including one in Limerick and will hold a fund-raising walk at Lees Road in Ennis on the morning of Saturday May 7th.

Organisers are also hoping the novel event, which begins at 4:30 am., will also raise awareness about their service.
Pieta House CEO Joan Freeman says people have been reaching out to them in recent years.
