Ennis is set for a multi million euro tourism and retail boost this weekend as An Comhdhail- The All Ireland and International Irish Dancing Championships come to Clare’s County Town.

Up to 3000 solo dancers will be taking part in the event in the West County Hotel with a further 8 to 10 thousand family , friends and spectators expected to attend.
The event which takes place from Saturday the 17th until Saturday the 23rd generated 5.2 million euro for the local economy when it was last staged in Ennis in 2009- and businesses are hoping for a similar boost this time round.
