The Health Information and Quality Authority has called on those implementing changes to healthcare in the Mid West to consider it’s report on care at Mallow General Hospital.
In it’s report, HIQA criticised the HSE for slowness in implementing recommendations outlined in a similar report on Ennis General, released two years ago.

Amid ongoing concerns for the future of Clare’s County Hospital, HIQA’s Director of Healthcare Quality and Safety Jon Billings says the Authority continues to engage with officials in the Mid West regarding it’s recommendations in relation to Ennis General
He has also told Clare FM that the report on Mallow General is relevant to healthcare in the Mid West.
