Clare County Council has been urged to ensure that adequate provision will be made for tourists with caravans and camper vans who will visit the county in the forthcoming tourist season.
Clare’s local representatives have heard that these vehicles caused problems at car parks and on streets in towns right across the county, and that action needs to be taken ahead of the summer.
Barriers were erected at many car parks, including Fanore, in order to prevent people in camper vans staying there overnight but Kildysart Councillor Oliver Garry thinks these may need to be opened.
