A man in his 40s remains in Garda custody following a 700,000 euro heroin seizure in Limerick.
The drug along with smaller quantities of cocaine, cannabis herb and ecstasy was seized after Gardai yesterday raided an apartment on the Ennis Road in the city.
Two semi automatic pistols and a quantity of ammunition were also seized.
The man, arrested at the scene, is being detained at Henry Street Garda Station.

Meanwhile, an army bomb disposal team made safe a viable explosive device in Limerick city overnight.
The device was discovered at around 3:00 at Greenmount Avenue in Ballinacurra Weston.
it was made safe and no controlled explosion was carried out.
Gardai are investigating.
