The wife of the North’s First Minister has been cleared of any wrongdoing over the awarding of a council business deal to her former lover.
An investigation was set up after revelations Iris Robinson had an affair with a teenager – and borrowed money to help him lease a café from Castlereagh Borough Council.

Mrs Robinson left the council, as well as her Assembly and Westminster seats, after the scandal broke.
The findings were presented to council members during a private briefing last night.
