Thousands of exam students are facing into the second paper of the Leaving and Junior Cert this afternoon.
English Paper One was first up today and the general consensus was that there was no huge surprises in any of the papers.
Ninety different subjects will be tested over the next few weeks, with results due out in August and September.

In all almost 3000 Clare students will sit the state exams this year
Almost half or 1474 of these, 753 girls and 721 boys, are sitting the Leaving Cert, 91 Clare students, 43 girls and 48 boys, are taking the Leaving Cert Applied this year and while 1385 clare students began their Junior Certs this morning.
