An Ennis man and his family are planning to move from New York to Boston as their efforts to cure their little girl’s cancer continue.
Four year old Megan Malone was brought to New York for Live-saving treatment for a rare brain tumour last year and has already stunned medical experts there who told her family the cancer has disappeared.
Megan was given a less than 20 percent chance of survival in Ireland, but through extensive fund-raising in County Clare and her mother’s home county of Cork, as well as the kindness of a benefactor, her live-saving journey to the states began.
Speaking to Clare FM, Megan’s father John Malone, who’s from Ballyalla Ennis – says they’ve now been told that extensive radiotherapy in Boston will be required, and though he’s worried he says the family are still counting their blessings
