It’s hoped funding for safety works at two north clare coastal sites will help boost tourism and the local economy.
Lahinch Pier is to receive over 48 thousand euro in funding for a new handrail system while in Liscannor over 26 thousand euro has been earmarked to upgrade the existing slipway.
The 75 thousand euro in funding for the two projects has been allocated to Clare County Council by the Department of Agriculture Fisheries and Food.
