The Minister of State for Tourism has called for engineers from outside Clare to be brought into the county to make decisions regarding road signs, in order to prevent a repeat of rows such as the one ongoing in Ballyvaughan.
Businesses in Fanore say up to 70 jobs could be under threat due to a large drop in passing visitors, after a sign directing people from Ballyvaughan towards the coast road was removed
Clare County Council is vowing to return the sign, but the authority has been criticised for the delay in doing this.
