Clare’s government TDs have been urged to fight to ensure no further cuts at Ennis General Hospital, or risk losing all credibility among the people who elected them.
As the HIQA report which criticised Emergency services and other facilities in Ennis is used to implement changes in other small hospitals like Roscommon, health campaigners in Clare fear further cuts could happen at our local A and E.
Former TD and Ennis General Hospital Development Committee member James Breen says hospital changes to come will be the real test for our Oireachtas representatives, particularly those in Fine Gael who were so critical of Fianna Fail TDs when full time emergency services were remove.
