Kilrush RNLI are today holding a full day’s training exercise in conjunction with their flank station, Ballybunion Coastguard.
The exercise will see the crews converge on the River Shannon to simulate their combined responses to potential events that they may encounter together in the future
This marks the first time that the crews have come together in this way, and the exercise is being held due to increased commercial and pleasure trafic on the River Shannon.
