Gardaí are warning householders in East Clare to be on the look out for scam artists who have targeted a number of people in the area.
Individuals are calling to the doors of rural homes in the Caher /Flagmount Feakle areas on the pretence of needing milk or some other some other household good

Householders only later realise that they have been robbed, with handbags, keys among the items taken
Gardaí say elderly people are particularly vulnerable to this type of crime and Sergeant Joe Fallon of Scariff Garda Station is urging home-owners to be vigilant
