A man who was attacked as he tried to stamp out a fire during riots in London this week has died in hospital.
Richard Mannington Bowes was set upon in Ealing on Monday night – his death brings to five the number of people who have been killed during the violence of recent days.
Last night though, police say there were no serious incidents to report and it was a quiet night on the streets of the UK.
