Scenes of jubilation have broken out in Libya’s capital Tripoli – as Colonel’s Gaddafi’s 40-year rule appears to be crumbling.
Libyan rebels have advanced into the main square – waving flags and firing in the air.
Two of Gaddafi’s sons have been captured, but the whereabouts of Gaddafi himself are unknown.

He remained defiant last night – making two addresses over state TV calling on Libyans to fight and save the capital.
