As he awaits the most honourable role in the Country this week, President Elect Michael D Higgins is already being offered the highest honours in his native County Town.
Ennis Councillors are to offer the new President the Freedom of the town and hope the Newmarket on Fergus native, who also attended St Flannan’s College, will be offered similar liberties throughout the county.
