The Clare President of the Irish Road Hauliers Association is calling for a fuel rebate for the industry in next week’s budget.
The proposal will be central to the group’s pre-budget submission, which is being unveiled this morning.
They’re calling for no change to carbon and road taxes, as well as a rebate on diesel which they say would end the hauliers’ practice of filling up on the continent.
