The main shopping streets of Ennis will be car free again this Christmas, but only for two of the busiest shopping days.
Ennis Town Council has approved pedestrianisation measures on O’Connell and Abbey Streets for Saturday the 17th of December, and Christmas Eve between 12 and 6 in a bid to boost last minute shopping, in consultation with local traders and the gardaí .
It’s one of a number of initiatives aimed at promoting Christmas Shopping in Ennis by the town council and local businesses including a You Tube video and Christmas music throughout the town.
