One Ennis man’s Christmas wish will come true this evening – nine months after he passed away from illness.
For ten years, the late Jim O’Driscoll filled his garden at 75 Elm Park on the Gort Road in Ennis with Christmas lights, snowmen and reindeer and invited families to come and see them, while also raising thousands of euro for charities.

As a diabetic, Jim had planned to light up his home once more in aid of Diabetes Ireland, but sadly was unable to do so due to ill health, and passed away in March.
But at 5.30 this evening, the O’Driscoll family will light up the Gort Road once more, keeping his spirit alive this Christmas while also raising funds and awareness for diabetes Ireland.
