Nursing representatives insist sick leave levels among its staff at Ennis General have fallen.
In its first review of services at Clare County Hospital the HSE HealthStat report but absenteeism rates among nurses at 12 percent – well above the national target of 3.5.
However the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation say figures confirmed by the Health Service Executive for October reveals that level has fallen by 2 percent.

MidWest Spokesperson Mary Fogerty says they are also engaged with managment to bring that number down even further
