Kilrush businesses and residents are looking forward to a newly revamped Moore Street following years of waiting for much needed road improvements.
Resurfacing works have been ongoing for a number of weeks on the main route from the Killimer Ferry to Kilrush Town Centre, and though there were delays, the route is set to re-open this weekend.
Locals are planning Christmas festivities on Saturday, which will also celebrate the history of the area, as Moore Street was once the main shopping district in Kilrush with 125 businesses.
