A new phone app has been launched in an effort to encourage us to recycle more over the Christmas period – and in the New Year.
It’s called ‘Recycle More’ and it lets you know where recycling facilities are available in your area.
Repak estimates that Irish householders will generate 220-thousand tonnes of household waste during the Christmas break.

A new survey from the group reveals that 45 per cent of people will leave recyclables on the ground at recycling facilities, because they’re often full at this time of year.
