Shannon Airport is gearing us for its busiest day of Christmas travel today as the many people make their way home for the festive season.
Around 45,000 passengers are expected to use the airport over the Christmas period, and management are reporting a festive atmosphere with lots of joyful re-unions for local families from Clare and the wider mid-west region.
Bus and rail services are also anticipating a busy day for travel,
