Greek Government Asked For Yet More Austerity Cuts

Greece is facing another deadline in its effort to secure a second bailout package.

Eurozone finance ministers are demanding officials in Athens meet three further conditions by next wednesday, before they give the green light for another 130 billion euro in aid.

In order to qualify, the Greek parliament has to ratify the package on Sunday, officials must identify another 325 million euro in cutbacks by next Wednesday, and coalition leaders have to give strong political assurances on the programme’s implementation.
