The Mayor of Clare will be in New York for St. Patrick’s Day, with the unanimous support of his fellow councillors.
Pat Hayes has been invited to represent the Banner County in the Big Apple on March 17th, and will attend a number of functions while there.

The Mayor of Kilrush – Ian Lynch is also due to travel to New York for St. Patrick’s Day events, though last week the Mayor of Ennis declined a similar invitation after some councillors questioned how appropriate the trip would be in our current economic situation.
However, others stressed the need to build international relationships in a bid to attract much needed business and visitors from abroad this year.
