Clare’s government TDs are expressing confidence that the government’s Action Plan for Jobs can help rectify unemployment in the county.
Suggestions that the document, which aims to create 200-thousand jobs nationwide by 2020, is too vague and lacks detail have also been dismissed.
The Government’s new jobs plan contains 270 proposals, and the Taoiseach has told the Dáil that he’s hopeful it will stem emigration.

Clare Fine Gael TD Pat Breen is also optimistic that it will help make a dent in the county’s unemployment levels of over 10,000 people.
